The City of Ottawa - Gatineau is formed by many different neighbourhoods. In particular, the city is divided into two main sectors (secteurs) by the Dawson River. North of the Dawson River is the mostly French-speaking Gatineau; whereas south of the river is the mostly English and Cantonese-speaking Ottawa.
